The Hmong American Association of Colorado (HMAAC) is excited to announce the upcoming annual Colorado Hmong New Year (COHNY) celebration on November 30th and December 1st at the Riverdale Regional Park & Fairgrounds. Hosted by HMAAC, the first nonprofit dedicated to serving the Colorado Hmong community, this event celebrates Hmong culture, fosters unity, and enhances community well-being. This year marks the 41st anniversary of COHNY, a significant milestone for our community, and we are reaching out to invite your support to help make this event a success.
About the Hmong Community:
The Hmong people, originally from the mountainous regions of Southeast Asia, played a crucial role alongside the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) during the Vietnam War. After the war, many Hmong refugees resettled around the world, including here in the United States. Annual Hmong New Year celebrations are vital for preserving our rich cultural heritage and traditions. For the past 41 years, COHNY has been a cornerstone of the Colorado Hmong community, celebrating our culture, fostering unity, and enhancing community well-being.
Your Support Matters:
We kindly request your support as a sponsor for this year’s Colorado Hmong New Year celebration. Your contribution will help promote cultural appreciation, strengthen community bonds, and support the vibrant Hmong community here in Colorado. With your support, we can make the event more accessible by reducing or eliminating entrance fees and enhance the event program to create a high-quality experience for our entire community. We believe your partnership will make a lasting impact on this cherished event, and we are excited about the possibility of working together.
Please find our sponsorship packages attached for your consideration. We would be grateful for any level of support you can provide to help make this year’s event truly memorable.
